The session will cover doing more with less, communicating during changes, and sustaining morale and focus. Procurement managers and professionals can leverage the changes and make a positive impact by doing the following.

Rett Syndrome
Rett syndrome is a unique postnatal neurological disorder (MECP2 mutation). Primarily, the syndrome affects girls (1 out of 10,000 female births) with a wide range of debilitating symptoms (mild to severe) but can be rarely seen in boys.
Rett syndrome has been most often misdiagnosed as autism, cerebral palsy, or non-specific developmental delay, because the symptoms can be very similar –
Symptoms-
- Normal growth until approximately 20 months, but a period of regression then follows with the loss of communication skills, purposeful use of her hands, gait disturbances, slowing of the normal rate of head growth, seizures, and disorganized breathing patterns awake
- Abnormal brain function affects their speech, sensory sensations, mood, movement, breathing, cardiac function, chewing, swallowing, digestion, and stereotyped hand movements such as hand washing
Rett syndrome presents many challenges, but with love, therapy and assistance, those with the syndrome can benefit from school and community activities well into middle age and beyond. They experience a full range of emotions and show their engaging personalities as they take part in social, educational, and recreational activities at home and in the community.
